Hidayat Khalid is a research linguist at the Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf), where his primary role is the research of the local Deaf culture and sign language, Singapore Sign Language in collaboration with Deaf locals. In his 3 years with SADeaf, he has developed his signing skills and is trained as a sign language interpreter, despite being new to interpreting. Hidayat is also one of the leading members of the Singapore Sign Language Signbank (2019-present) and a member of the organizing committee for the International Week of Deaf People by The Singapore Association for the Deaf (2020-2021).
